Description

As you wander through the library, you again stumble across the journal you've stumbled across once before. This time you find it opened to a page describing a polearm enhanced with a shadowy blade.

I got this from  Middy the other day as a request for our own Scythe wielder (Though I've decided hold on to it until a special occasion). She had mentioned the breakthrough with the unravelling of emotions used in fairy tech, but I was curious if she could actually embue such emotions into a weapon. I am well aware in some worlds, binding a demon to a weapon to give it an edge (sometimes literally) was not an uncommon practice. In many cases of it, though, the possessed weapon turned on it's weilded or sucked their lifeforce dry.

Now this was the last thing I wanted to happen to Crimson, so I asked if there was a way to have the weapon instead utilize the demon shadows I've seen Crimson use. This stymied her at the time, but since I've never met a fairy more excited about a challenge than Middy, She set to work.

That was almost 5 months ago.

Middy really has outdone herself this time. When I first saw this, I will admit I was surprised as I had specifially asked it to be a scythe, and what I saw was simply some sort of ax/spear combination. When dealing with Middy, however I've learned it is best not to look a gift horse in the mouth. And boy was I glad I kept my mouth shut. She tapped an elemental-charged void crystal against the red gem-orb that was in the center. When she did that, the orb BLINKED.... as in, it developed a pupil and BLINKED at me. I would have said something then, but just as I was about to, shadows came out of the gem and turned into a spectral blade. Middy told me the eye represented the "personality" of the magic and shaped the blade of the weapon accordingly. It sure LOOKS possesed, even though she has repeatedly tried to assured me it's not.....

I think "Apocolypse" is a fitting name for it.....

Sorry for the late comment, had this in a tab for ages meaning to comment.

LOVE the smoky purple effect you got, and I'd have to agree with Greene regarding the metal of the head.

Great job!
